Erie, Michigan, USA, October 2018 - We recently hosted an all-girls robotics team, named ‘FLAG’ (Fight Like A Girl), from Bedford Junior High School in Temperance, Michigan for a tour of our facility.
Automatic Handling's Director of Operations, Scott Croy, led the team on a tour of the manufacturing and engineering campus and described the associated technologies with which we work. Dustin Kervin, Mechanical Engineer, showed the group some SolidWorks models and explained the process of how engineers utilize the software to model all of the equipment Automatic Handling produces.
Lisa Williams, Manufacturing Programmer, demonstrated how our CNC machines operate, from the program design and code through the physical machining process. Also, Ravi V. showed and explained how our electrical panels, actuators, mechanical engineering, and programming controls an entire system. The FLAG team was able to watch a whole factory run of a core cleaning and broke management system while they were on tour.
