This week we joined manufacturing organizations across America to recognize Manufacturing Day! On Thursday, we had the pleasure of hosting our fourth annual event by welcoming students from Manson Middle School here in Erie, MI.

Manufacturing Day aims to showcase the diverse career opportunities available in the manufacturing industry and connect with America’s future workforce to bring awareness to the numerous career opportunities available in manufacturing. The group from Mason Middle school was given an extensive tour of our manufacturing and assembly areas. Students were given the opportunity to learn about Automatic Handling’s business of building automated roll handling and roll wrapping systems for the Tissue & Towel and Pulp & Paper industries. The visiting students were introduced to a variety of career opportunities available at companies like Automatic Handling.

We look forward to next year’s event and continuing our tradition of showcasing the opportunities available to Southeast Michigan and Northwest Ohio skilled trades workforce.
