The core handling system featured in this video automatically unloads large corrugated cores used in the manufacturing of Tissue and Towel. Once removed from core bins, the cores move into a queue for the next operation. The queued containers arrive into set locations for unloading via a forked vehicle. The queued containers are robotically unloaded, singulated, and loaded into a vertical conveyor to deliver to multi-floor operations.
The system in our video is designed for 12 or 16-inch diameter cores. However, the technology can easily be adapted for a wide range of corrugated cores to feed paper manufacturing or as part of a complete core management system. Automatic Handling International, Inc. has devised many other creative automated core handling systems for the paper and converting industries.
